WOLFF Onsite Careys Case Study

Powering Tower Cranes with the Enertainer

14.08.2024 | News WOLFF Onsite

This case study showcases how WOLFF Onsite's Enertainer unit provided a sustainable power solution for Careys at the South Clyde Energy Centre project in Glasgow, Scotland.

Careys approached WOLFF Onsite to provide a power solution for a WOLFF 355 B crane at their site, located on a busy flight path, requiring aircraft warning lights to operate 24/7.

By replacing a traditional 500kVA generator, the Enertainer reduced weekly diesel consumption by over 4,000L, cutting CO₂e emissions by 10.11T and saving Careys approximately £5,640 per week. This innovative approach not only slashed costs but also aligned with Careys' commitment to reducing carbon emissions and enhancing sustainability in the construction industry.
