WOLFFKRAN customer Glass GmbH Bauunternehmung from Mindelheim was awarded the contract for the construction of the hall for the new paper machine, the associated CHP power plant, and a further hall for raw and finished materials.
Glass used two WOLFF 7534 Clear flat-top cranes and a WOLFF 7532 Cross high-top crane to construct the 300-meter long, 75-meter wide, and 28-meter high building. The three WOLFF cranes in Glass’ own green color were selected because of their outstanding performance in prefabricated construction. Since their assembly in October 2019, the cranes have lifted more than 35,000 cubic meters of concrete, some 4,000 tons of steel, and around 5,000 prefabricated elements.

Despite the adverse conditions due to the Corona-Crisis, the hall was topped out in May. The huge paper machine, arriving in 1,000 containers from Finland, China, and India, is now being assembled inside the hall. In 2022 the new plant will completely replace the existing one at the Neukochen site.
